ABOUT OSWILG
The
Oregon and Southwest Washington Industry Liaison Group
(OSWILG) is a non-profit organization formed in 2003 by a group of
federal contractors and other interested parties.
What
We Do:
OSWILG
serves as an extension of the National Industry Liaison Group (NILG).
Its
purpose is to strengthen relationships among federal contractors, the Office of
Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) and the Equal Employment
Opportunity Commission (EEOC) by fostering open communication between the
groups.
OSWILG
will engage in activities consistent with this purpose, with the prevailing
goal of working towards equality in the workplace.
Annual
Scholarship:
The OSWILG Board annually awards the Harry S. Chandler Memorial Scholarship to deserving graduating seniors. The scholarships are in the amount of $1,000 each
and awarded in memory of OSWILG’s founding member, Harry Chandler.
Students throughout Oregon and SW Washington apply for the scholarship each
year. The scholarships are awarded based on a combination of community
involvement, academic achievement, financial need and an essay addressing how
diversity impacts the life of the student.
